The European Parliament has launched the "Become EU Parliament virtual correspondent for a day” competition inviting all EU talented citizens, from 18 years old, to join.
Participants will have to post on the Facebook wall of the EU Parliament a short video, of maximum 30 seconds, explaining the reasons why they should be chosen as the right candidate to fill this position. Motivations should be creative, funny and should be posted before 9 June 2016, midnight CET.
Entrants can use video applications like Hyperlapse or Vine or just post a
YouTube or directly uploaded video.
Among the submitted videos, the Parliament's Facebook team will then choose four winners from the ten most liked submissions. The four winners will be invited for a three-day trip to Strasbourg, from 6 to 8 July 2016. Together with the Parliament's team, they will work on the virtual visit to the Parliament: choosing interesting spots, following the debates and meetings and appearing in the final video. Accommodation and travel expenses will be arranged and covered by the European Parliament.
The ten nominees and, subsequently, the four winners will be announced on the event page and contacted via Facebook mail.
